You had me at 'hello'

Today's most unexpectedly delightful headline:
The Slumdog debate: is it poverty porn or honest, cathartic art?
'Poverty porn' - how marvellous!

Grouping a disparate bunch of online and print-based ramblings under the banner 'debate' - ingenious! Just like bringing together similarly disparate nuttiness under such terms as 'The Arms Race', 'The Financial Crisis' and 'The George Dubya Debacle'.

Ooh! And my favourite part of this lovely headline is that it announces a discussion about the nature of truth (aesthetic, epistemological, ontological)... in a daily newspaper!

Happy, happy headline days.

Ahah! No comments yet Kettle. I'm relieved I'm possibly not the only one totally intimidated by those big words in the second last paragraph!

Good for you for being able to toss them around so confidently!

Oh no! I was trying to be funny but I was obviously just being trying...

In my defence, though, there's nothing like a bit of epistemology to get the laughter flowing ;) And if that fails, a bum joke.

I've never come across the term 'poverty porn' before but it proves you can alliterate just about anything if you really try

I wonder if there are people employed for just that purpose, squib?

I think there are Kettle. Who comes up with all those lipstick and nail polish names? Like Mystic Mauve, Bronze Berry, and Sugarplum Shimmer. That's the work of a professional alliterater

Thanks for the laugh, squib, it went beautifully with my cup of tea :)
