Until then

This is my two hundreth post, can you believe? And coincidentally the one in which I say farewell for the time being.

I started here when I was 32, and now I'm 35. We were still relatively new to Sydney, my son hadn't been diagnosed with autism, and I hadn't read Homer (at all).

Now, so much has changed, and so much of it, from before, feels like I'm reading a postcard from someone in another land. Time has indeed passed.

I've had such fun here. Thank you to my dear bloggy friends for your hilariously erudite (and eruditely hilarious) comments; I'm so glad to know you.

I'd like to start a new blog in the new year, and will post the address here in January. I would love for you to join me there (if I may be so bold); it's you who makes this fun.

Thanks for coming here, and all the very best,

Kettle
Amanda xx

Well, this tops off a pretty crappy 2010 (politically, not personally).

Hope to see you back sometime in the New Year.

Fraternal salutations, dear Kettle.

Ramon.

Starting a new blog in the new year - excellent. It is good to start afresh sometimes.

New Year, a time of resolution and renewal, and for those in north queensland, sweating. Lots and lots of sweating.

Will there be a set theme?
I tried to write a sad, melancholy blog at one stage, like some of the blogs I like reading, but I couldn't last at it. I just felt silly.

Too long horizontal in the banana chair, Kettle? Didn't expect to be left templateless, thought you'd figure out what's doing.

Congrats on 200, look forward to tuning in in the new year ...

Thank you Comrade Ramon. You are my very favourite Yuli Osipovich Zederbaum look-alike ever.

What ho, Squibeline, I thought you'd be pleased this blog is wrapping up because the new blog will have... wait for it, wait for it... poetry. Honest to God, poetry! Well, maybe just 'poem', one poem, not sure yet. I'd feature your stuff but I can't afford it.

Maddie, I love that you tried to write a melancholy blog but couldn't stay melancholy. You are very funny.

Also, not sure about a theme for the new blog, but there will definitely be less exclamation marks and no serifs. I'm done with serifs.

Razzy I'm afraid I can barely get a moment in my banana chair because the other dear inhabitants of my house think it's the very best thing evah (which of course it is).

On the plus side, since I've not been able to lounge in my banana chair and figure out what's doing I've been saved the horror of sorting out a template for this blog. Phew.

See you xx
