So here's the thing with Facebook: If you're a business and you have a Facebook page and you post things on it and people respond, unless those responses are unforgivably lewd (and you're not, ahem, a publisher of adult 'books'), THEN YOU SHOULDN'T DELETE THEM BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A CENSORIOUS DICK of a business.
Just saying.

Been having some troubles with someone, have you, Kettle?
Alex I reckon they're having troubles. Any business that hires someone to look after their social media stuff should pick someone who appreciates the 'social' bit of 'social media' stands for 'people,' and that deleting comments from 'people' because they ask a question that is half about the current post and half about the previous post on the same topic makes them look like the idiot at a party who says "Shut up, that's why."
Yeah!
I think there are a lot of businesses that struggle with the "social" concept. Especially The Streisand Effect and how being CENSORIOUS DICKS can be more damaging than a few difficult questions or negative comments.
Only one way they'll learn, though.
Heh heh, Alex; you think I should re-post my question?
What've you got to lose?
Good point well made, Alex.
Thanks for the link to the Streisand Effect, and for honouring my capitalisation of CENSORIOUS DICKS; attention should be drawn to CENSORIOUS DICKS of all persuasions.
Agreed. I also have an acquired distaste for the CENSORIOUS DICKS of the world. Especially those who close down whole threads on their official help forums in an attempt to keep from looking foolish.
Apple Computers, I'm looking at you.
Oh! Who was it? FB me!
Um. Why are we not FB friends? Do you wanna? Gmail me your info if you do. (If you don't that's ok, I won't be offended)
EMS friend request sent!
Haha - that's hilarious. Literally a few minutes later I get your friend request and I'm all "Who *is* this?!"
I'd already forgotten about my comment here.
Sigh. Holiday brain.
Gold, EMS. I was going to write something Kettle-related in the friend request but I got click-happy and sent it off without.
Holiday brain... jealous.
